Guy L. McClung, III
Guy McClung has practiced in all areas of intellectual property law since 1977. He has worked for individual inventors, start-up companies, and Fortune 100 companies. This has included litigation in both state and federal courts and consulting and testifying as an expert witness. He has prepared, filed and prosecuted to issue many hundreds of patent applications in a wide variety of scientific disciplines and technology areas, including nanotechnology, eCommerce systems and programs, laser technology, and a wide variety of systems and tools used in the oilpatch.
As General Counsel, Associate Vice President of the UT M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, he was responsible for all legal matters involving the Center, including all litigation, and for overseeing the protection and commercialization of all the Center’s intellectual property. He is past editor of: Patent Editor ABA CAFC Newsletter; Contributing Editor, Patents, The Federal Circuit Bar Journal; and Patent Editor of the Federal Circuit Bar Association Journal.
